Welcome to the new millennium, where “green” is mainstream and has little to do with color. In the automobile world things have changed dramatically over the last decade, due in part to spiking fuel prices but also because of technological advancements that have fundamentally reshaped vehicle design. It has been a roller coaster ride of innovation, lofty aspirations and unfulfilled promises covering everything from new engine technologies to “eco-friendly” fuels. When it comes to green motoring, where have we been and where are we headed?
